RCA Collection for Waddesdon
In November 2007 Waddesdon commissioned Royal College of Art (RCA) student designers to create a range of products to be sold in its shop.
Postgraduate students from the RCA’s School of Applied Art which includes Ceramics and Glass; Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery were involved in the project. After visiting Waddesdon, students were invited to create contemporary designs for objects inspired in some way by the property.
Over thirty design prototypes were submitted and a panel of judges from the RCA and Waddesdon selected ten overall winners.
The designs went into production this summer and are available to buy exclusively in Waddesdon’s Manor Gift shop or from our online shop from the end of September.
