Chateau Mouton Rothschild, 1st Growth A C Pauillac

The vineyards of Château Mouton comprise 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Grapes are harvested, sorted and de-stemmed by hand. The wine undergoes extended maceration before maturation in new oak barrels for almost two years. After a period of topping up the barrels and clarification, the rigorous process of selection and rejection takes place before the final wine is assembled and bottled at the château.
