Baron Arques, Vin de Pays de la Haute Vallée de L’Aude 2003

This cult wine was one of first to signal a renaissance in the South of France. A great site has been used to provide fruit for this big, rich red. Local grapes with the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot have produced a wine with terrific concentration of flavours, cassis and black cherry with wild herbs and smoke. Presented in a wooden box.
